= Apparently you have to click DOWNLOAD to see the Full Version =- Well I have been kinda busy and not really submitting anything lately because of school, so I thought I would go ahead and throw up one of my things from class. This happens to be a practice pen and ink piece for my Illustration class. I was relatively happy with the way that it came out, but I still am really uncomfortable working with tones done in pen. And there are things that I would try and fix if I were to do it again.
- - This was my second time using pen for a tonal drawing, and it was MUCH better than the first one that I did. So I am hoping that by the time we do the "real" assignment that this practice was for I will improve once again ^~^

- The only reason that I don't like charcoal is I can't be as precise as I would like to be with it . . . everything seems to end up a bit blurry for me : (

Very good detail on this... I can feel your frustration, however. Relate to it as well. I'm taking a sketch class, and they basicly force you to abandon whatever style you've developed to go through the fundamentals all over again. And you're forced to draw from observation and get exact proportions, which i hate. But, this is excellent work. Ink will become instinctive to you before long, i'm sure.

- And yeah, it can be frustrating to get pushed into a box for the beginning years; where everything needs to be "just so". But it really does pay off in the long run. And eventually you get to draw what you want, how you want

Indeed, the box is necessary at first, but i've been there, done that. ::shakes fist at college requirements:: And, just like the box, ink will only get better with time. You're very skilled already, so its just a matter of making it a habbit.
