Description Title derives from that fact that this piece was made over a period of a couple of days. Most of it was made while I was deep in thought, just thinking about stuff. Yah, I'm weird, sue me.

Another totally different piece in comparison to my most recent pieces, I basically tried a ton of new stuff with this piece, as you can see. I'm thinking about doing a couple of more of this style, if I don't change my mind before I finish the next one. D:

Made in Photoshop CS2.

Yesh, that was my aim. Some of the shapes are inspired from human organs, actually.

And, I wasn't really sure what you meant, tbh. o.O

It looks like you cracked open some poor guy, pulled out what you saw and then drew it. For example, those two large red things remind me of lungs, that yellow blob in the very center resembles a liver, and the other red thing on the far right with a purple tube coming out of it looks like a stomach. Then those stringy things could be arteries. o_o

MURDERER!

But if all that was in the name of the arts and sciences, then it's acceptable and therefore I like this form of murder.

Wow. I'm a freak. Anyway, I love it.

Except for Geometry. That has no use...

Corez In reply to ebbymac [2008-10-01 11:54:13 +0000 UTC]

Actually, it does, geometric shapes or symmetry.

ebbymac In reply to Corez [2008-10-01 22:56:06 +0000 UTC]

... It has no use. None at all.

Corez In reply to ebbymac [2008-10-01 23:05:46 +0000 UTC]

I disagree, Escher used geometric shapes for his pieces. And, even I used geometric shapes like squares, so it has use in art.

should've kept the background a square... rectangle looks weird : /

I like this style. If you could make still life with this style I'd freaking adore you.

But dunno, to me looks kinda "floaty" and still a bit empty. The main pops out a bit too much from the background.

Corez In reply to Smangii [2008-09-30 02:28:27 +0000 UTC]

Huh, you mean the canvas size? It was always this size..

I already tried something like that, not really my thing, imo.

Idk, how the focal can pop out too much from the bg, isn't that then a good thing? :S

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Smangii In reply to Corez [2008-09-30 02:53:46 +0000 UTC]

yes the canvas size. You defined a "square" with the 4 corners yet made it seem "empty" by having the canvas shape a rectangle. Looks awkward to me.

whatwhat. Show me then, bitch

no, it's not It means the bg doesn't really work with the main.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Corez In reply to Smangii [2008-09-30 03:16:08 +0000 UTC]

Well, I wasn't too sure about the corners thing myself but it was just an idea I had for some time now. I'll see how it looks without 'em.

The piece is submitted, the Ossification one, I know not really Still Life but the closest thing to it that I have.

I think the bg matches with the focal, though. :S
