Anyways, this bad boy is my entry for #Team-Anomaly-Central 's contest. We were tasked with simply drawing the three team members of Pya the Parakeet, Velocity the cat, and Koa the Lynx, in any number of situations that we could think of.

Well not one to give them something boring to do, I thought, "How about if they fight some of my characters?" I don't draw them nearly enough so that's what I stuck to. Now I suppose this pic requires a small preface to explain what is going on.

In her quest to become more powerful than she already is, Koa, was doing research on the various power objects that existed all through out the history of the universe. She came across and old tome that talked of mythical gems from long ago that could control and bend the universe and its elements to their owner's will, but their existence was over several millennia ago and no one has seen them since. Not one to give up on such an opportunity, Koa coaxed the other members of Team Anomaly to join her in trying to find them.

After countless hours spent looking on their world with no luck, they enlisted the help of Tails and asked what he thought they could to find them. Tails suggested that the objects never existed on Earth or in this time at all, and using the tome Koa had found to track where in space it had originated from, turned up a planet called, "Elysium." However, there were no strong energy readings that suggested the emeralds were there. Then, Tails resolved that they must travel into the past if that wished to see the emeralds again. In a time machine of his Tails' own design, Team Anomaly set off to Elysium's past.

Upon reaching there, they met with our heroes from the EC Universe at the capital city of "Nebula," in the "Cosmic Nation." Novus, Era and Zephyr were spending there time in the museum as per usual, standing guard at the Cosmic Emerald's resting site when the three strange visitors entered.

They explain their situation swiftly, and the ask if they can have the Cosmic Emerald, thinking it would be alright for them to have, but Novus was not too keen on the idea. Instead of a full-on brawl with the visitors, that Novus clearly wanted, Era resolved that they should compete against each other using their strengths. Thus, Era and Velocity being the speed members of their groups, compete in a race, Koa and Novus being the powerhouses of their groups compete in a, "friendly," sparring match, and Pya and Zephyr having the ability to fly compete to see who can stay in the air the longest, a stamina test if you will.

And as you can see, we have Era beating out Velocity in the race, Zephyr succumbing to the mastery of the air that Pya wields, as well as the parakeet laughing in her native tongue at the poor chickadee, and it looks like a dead even stalemate between Koa and Novus, having punched each other both square in the face.

WHO WILL WIN?

idk I haven't written that far. lol

Now, for those of you who are wondering, this picture is NOT finished, these are just the base colors, and seeing as last night was the deadline, well you see why I had to upload it like this. But I will finish it and upload it later today.

It should also be noted that these were three separate sheets of paper, not all draw on the same sheet as it looks, ah the magic of merging pages on PS. XD

I rather like how the sketches and inks came out. I actually got them done in under a week! So I'm very proud with myself. It's very rushed as I was pressed for time. So of the effects and such may change, I was experimenting a bit with them, and hopefully it does decent enough with quickly done base colors.

So, seeing as the voting was taking a bit longer than anticipated, I decided that I'd go ahead and take the base colors of the older pic, make them brighter and more vibrant, and give the pic some decent shading and slightly different effects. Hopefully this will clinch me at least third place in the contest. ^^
