Description It turns out I have no idea what to do for a story with them. To combat this, I sat down and drew a page of little scenes with these two plus some other subject (except the last one, don't go straining your eyes trying to find something). This was also practice for different settings, lightings, moods, etc. I haven't worked in this style much before, and wanted to get a feel for the technique.

So, I'm opening the floor to ideas. They can be based off any of these, or come from something completely new. I'll take any suggestions you're willing to give!

Hahaha I really like the snake-wrangling and the mushroom scenes. I'd love to see those expanded on ^_^

I find these two so adorable <3

I don't know about ideas, but my first impression was that they were some sort of forest spirits or something, since these two seem to be having fun in their surroundings

Somehow, as far as story ideas go, I thought of something along the lines of Hansel and Gretel because they seem like brother-sister type siblings that stick together no matter what... especially judging from these scenes.

At the top of my head, maybe they used to be normal sized humans who were cruel and picked on birds alot (slingshot at birds or scare birds on purpose and such), and some bird-lover/keeper noticed and asked a witch/wizard to enchant them and force their lives into being birds so they can learn from their mistakes? Get a taste of their own medicine? It's a fairytale-esque idea.. so yeah, that's the vibe I get from looking from those two.

Hm, I hadn't even considered that they could be siblings. That's a neat idea. Their forms being a punishment is an alright idea, but they both seem too happy/content with their situation. Good suggestions, though!

Well, I had another thought; my second idea was maybe a lonely witch simply enchanted the objects (like you mentioned, bird bones/feather remnants) because she wanted some tiny company/children to love of some sorts. But then she got into some sort of trouble/got abducted by someone and now Goose and Crow have to rescue her! (That seems more likely based on the images/scenes you've posted thus far, since they seem to be going on an adventure.)

That's close to what I originally had in mind, but I hadn't thought that their creator could want them as children. That's pretty cute.

Idea: Witch made them to be her familiars and sends them off on all sorts of errands all the time, from mundane to magical.
