Father's birthday is on 8th of Feb so it was time to draw him birbs again!

He just went through angioplasty today (a blood vein connected to his heart got cleaned to make blood pump normally) and I'm very relieved that everything went smoothly and he's feeling fine now. Without this operation he would have had a heart attack.

I wanted to draw him something extremely adorable this time, so I painted a capercaillie female with a couple of chicks. I actually used a nature photo as a reference to this and painted with watercolors and watersoluble ink pencils.

It took 4 hours - half an hour to sketch and rest to paint + adding all the fine details. Paper is A5 sized.
