djdjadskfjh so yeah uhhh . . . I've been in a bit of an art slump recently! You may have noticed that I haven't been updating my progress bar as frequently, and that's . . . umm . . . because I took an accidental hiatus from comic stuff. It was good for me, health-wise, but I'm excited to bust back into my comic work!

This was an old sketch from a couple months ago that I rediscovered and loved, so I decided to make it a full illustration! Sometimes all it takes is a good song to inspire a vivid image, and then I run with it like a feral animal. This one's heavy by Au/Ra.

It was good practice for the sort of lighting/shading that I'm going for in Chapter 5! I can feel my style slooowly evolving, and I think??? It's a good thing?? I love how this turned out, so at least I have that.

Anyway that's all for now, I'm still working on Chapter 5 but unfortunately I don't yet know when Chapter 4 will be coming out!! Thanks for being patient, feel free to play the linked song twenty times in a row while staring at this image and then zone out into the abyss imagining what Chapter 4 will be like . . .

Some random notes, from tags I made on tumblr:

Why are they even in that water, it looks so gross and infected.
Also this isn't anything that canonically happens in the comic, it's just a *~vibe~* that I really enjoyed. No I will not elaborate.

Last thing, though: I wonder why those chains are like a weird black and white, when everything else is in color? Strange . . . oh well, I'm sure it's not significant in any way!
