Republic Commando RC-1262, better known as Scorch from Delta Squad, holding up a Battle Droid head after a fierce battle in the Clone Wars.

I found the lineart on the Rebelscum Forums, and couldn't resist the urge to color this awesome image. Kudos goes to the original artist, Jeff, of course, he's done one hell of a better job than me, by far, so give him all credit.

Ha!! Love the "Alas, poor Yorik" pose here! I could see it, though--first it's shooting at you, won't stop until you blast it to atoms, then it's just a collection of parts, there on the battlefield... ?? Great coloring (and I so love those touches of glow you splash in--just enough, and perfectly placed--your eye for light is awesome. Great, great work!

Hamlet, eh? Sooner or later, I've probably got to read that as well.^^

As pointed out on one of your other comments, with such a great lineart, I only had to stick to a same light-source, that's all. And the background is actually a little photoshopped Republic Commando screenshot.^^

lmao, your flattering me, man...

I'm using the same techniques as on your lines, it's just that the lineart itself is another "dimension", so to say. With all the shading, shadows and contrast on Jeff's awesome work, I have one hell of an easy job, so to say. You'll see what I mean with the next coloring of one of Jeff's linearts. Or at least I hope so..^^

I appreciate the number of talented Star Wars fans on DA; it makes me happy . Very nicely colored...the dark color scheme suites the character well.
