I didn't want to do a valentine's piece this year, because honestly I hate the holiday with a passion, but then I decided saturday night that I wanted to do something with Amelia and Harold, because I think they're a cute couple.
My original plan was to do them at a formal restaurant, or maybe a dance, somewhere I could draw Amy in her dress, and Harold looking awkwardly adorable in a tux, but then I realized that I didn't want to commit to the background that came with a fancy restaurant, and I didn't want to try and figure out a dancing pose. So instead I chose a coffee shop. I figured in their universe, eventually Harold would work up the courage and ask Amy if she'd like to get a drink with him, formally. Like, they'd known each other for a while, and had been working together as supervillains, but he finally manages to ask Amy out, and she's finally started to like him back, so she agrees. And it's just an awkward first date, Amelia hasn't dated since freshmen year of college and killed that boyfriend, and Harold hasn't gotten a date since he was 14, and also he hadn't figured out who he was yet, so it was wrong on many levels for him. Idk, I just thought it'd be cute to do. The two of them really do fall in love with each other, eventually, but it takes a while, and I imagine that Amelia is trying sincerely to date him, but she's so used to being a terrible person she's not quite sure she can be good, and Harold is just so afraid of messing this up and loosing his best friend.

I'm kind of rambling at this point, oh well.
Maybe I'd feel different about Valentine's day if I wasn't single, but haha, like I'm going to go confess to my crush. NOPE.
Hope you guys like the piece, regardless! I think I went to heavy on the color shift and static effect, but oh well, I don't care enough to fix it on this one. The other Lost Signal pieces look better because of that.
Harold's text in is orange, and like all the other LS pieces, Amelia's is in yellow.
