not so much fanart, really its just what i feel like. i feel unexplainably surley and want to unleash bloody vengance upon the world (especially that bastard who clogged the toilet at work today). Also, like Nny, i feel like i havent done anything really original in a while, nothing really mine. just dissatisfying funk (though there is a comic in the works that looks interesting). instead of *ahem* "...becoming a madness plauged psycho, bent on performing ghoulishly obscene acts of murder for which there is no concievable redemption" (i feel sick #2) i just do some drawing and try to feel better, but food would help.... especially some eggrolls.for those not in the know my real name is Ry, so thats where the title comes from. now forget you ever heard my name.

yes i recognize teh style i also stalk someone on DA that is a complete fan of this person but i have yet to see the personas actual stuff and what its all about

yeah theres a lot of jhonen vasquez fan zombies out there, who love Jhonny the Homicidal Maniac because A)he kills people B) "no one understands him!!! just like MEEEE" *sob* and C) they wish they were like johnny.
in reality, you dont want to be like Nny. hes sad, has amnesia, and his solutions to the littlest problems in life all involve sledgehammers and ginsu knives. hes a former artist who slowly lost his artistic drive and started killing people for unexplained reasons. also something spooky in his mind is trying to escape by forcing Nny to kill, also vaugely explained.
its a great story, for all its vaugeness, and Jhonen has a humor that shines through all the spite that he fills it with though, so id really reccomend it. but in order to get anything from the comic you really have to read past the obvious goth appeal and fact that Nny is angstier than a convention of gundam pilots. also you have to remember that Jhonens stuff is all based on what hes feeling like, so if hes angry- the story is gorey, if hes depressed- the story is moody and angsty, and if he feels bored- wierd funny stuff happens
even if i liked the story, Nny is the one character of Jhonen's that i pity the most (not admire!) so imagine what FEELING like him is like. yeah.... that about sums it up.

Oh that's awesome. You've really captured the essence of Vasquez's style while still retaining smething of your own in there. I love the little floating head Nail Schrody, and umm... Pavlov Death. Great job.
