Description
*Full View Please*I have a love/hate relationship with this particular shot. it didn't work in color...it didn't work in black and white, but I think it works very well in sepia. I loved the way the trees are all bent over in contrast to the flowing water. it's a little like a visual vortex.
I don't normally do a lot of sepia, but that might change
title comes from a line in a Pearl Jam song--Better Man [link]

I agree--it doesn't work for most shots and it barely works for this shot. In hindsight, I wish I would have had more time in this location to try to get a better composition of those great trees. They wouldn't look the same with leaves or even heavily budded
Maybe a little later this spring i'll try again once the melt comes on strong and the water is flowing.
Thanks brother

Thank you very much my friend I got to thinking about why the trees were bent over and I think it's due to deep snow

This looks as though it might have been the work of some early pioneer of landscape photography!

Thank you David I think you have to be able to see in black and white or sepia to do it really well. Oh--if I were just color blind
