I fondly remember watching the ravens play over Hawk Hill back when I interned as a hawkwatcher and raptor bander there. Many times, I'd watch one bird fly high into the air with a stick, drop it, and then the others would scramble to catch it in midair. I've been wanting to create this drawing based on a photo that I took in 2013 for years, since it captures their playfulness and agility so well. Ravens provide a good reminder to embrace finding happiness and humor in the little things when you can.
