Description
Okay, for years now I've been wanting to do a version of the classic cover for the 2nd issue of Marvel's Transformers comic . However, I'd put it off because mere tweaks to the designs of the characters just didn't have a lot of appeal for me.

Well, a couple of weeks ago, the "hook" hit me. It gives me a chance to re-create that classic cover in a way that's (hopefully) interesting, AND draw versions of the characters I've never really worked with much (or at all) before. Optimus Prime and Megatron were sketched out as separate elements on notebook paper, scanned in, and digitally composed together. I've blown that up to 11x17 and printed that out at that size on my new Brother MFCJ6510DW all-in-one printer/scanner (no more piecing large scans together!).
