An update:MeterZ 1.5 is out, so get get that instead
MeterZ is a skin (or widget) for RainMeter. It gets the current song information from the Zune software, gets the album cover from Last.FM, and elegantly displays it on your desktop. There are four different variations, or styles, to choose from. Two of them are transparent.
This skin was made for Rainmeter 4.0 Beta and should properly run on Vista and up.

Don't use the Zune software? Not a problem. Just go into the .ini files and change "PlayerName=WLM" to the correct value (list available here: docs.rainmeter.net/manual-beta… ) (edit: Spotify apparently doesn't work, but the rest will)
I used a few tiny snippets from the online doc, but a good chunk of the skin files are completely original. The graphics were all created in Photoshop by me.

I am trying to use spotify with this. I changed the player name and the pause play and skip all work but I am not getting the album art to show up. Any help?

Hey, I'd love to help! Unfortunately my primary computer is in pieces and I don't really want to install RM on my backup computer (since it's low on resources). Assuming I get my computer working soon, I'll look into it

Alright, so I did have a chance to look at it and do some research, and I've got some bad news. Unfortunately, Spotify has the worst support for Rainmeter and there's a lot of work you have to do to get it to work. I'd have to rework the entire thing :/

Last.fm is great, but the skin won't show the album cover unless Last.fm has it. Any chances that you will add additional music databases to curate album art? Again, thank you! I have waited so long for something like this!
