was suddenly inspired to draw not-too-white clouds haha~then i got carried away and now it's a finished pic 8D
it still looks too plain to me but i don't kno what else to put in >.<
my SAI is working again \(>u< )/

Cool! Any tips for colouring with Sai?

um...just blend with the brush often, so get smoothness but not blurred. Always keep in mind of contrast cuz that'll make the pic pop.
u can still achieve good effects on ps, u just need to kno the right way to do it. (which is eye drop like crazy to blend)

I think it is a lovely picture, but the kite is almost a little distracting. At least for me. I understand it was put there for a pop of color and to give the painting a little 'fun' factor, but with everything else in such a sombre hue, it feels odd having it there.
However, if you were to make the kite a dull red or dull orange exclusively and make the string a little thinner than the thin chain or ropes on the fence, it would probably work just fine. When I've flown kites, the string seemed like it wasn't even there as it got farther up. You did this with the fence, but the string to the kite needs it as well. It'd also help not to put too much detail into the kite since it's not the main focus of the picture. (The clouds are swirling into themselves, the birds are flying up into the clouds, the fence posts and rope ends are pointing up at the clouds, and the kite is hanging above the main focus.)
