I am unaware of the actual origin of these sprites. However, I first and only saw them in the second episode of the reboot for Super Mario Bros Z. So, it is likely that Mark Haynes (creator of SMBZ) made these sprites from scratch. Though, don't quote me on that, as I'm not certain.

I ripped these sprites pixel by pixel from SMBZ, so it is quite similar to my front facing Toad sprite. (Another sprite I also ripped pixel by pixel from SMBZ)

So, give credit to the both me and Mark when using these sprites.
