I can't draw something that well even with my pen.

it's just the overlay layer that makes it look nicer lol
i can give you some advice, just let your hand do whatever you want. if you pay attention too much to your drawing then you tend to think it looks worse, but if you draw freely it tends to come out nicer
that's what i do even though it still looks awful 70% of the time
