Description Name: Hassi
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Species: Iguanian of the Aquarius Clan.
Profession: Former warrior, now fisher.
Residence: Cliffside, a human town. He lives in a small house upon the edge of the town, next to the piers. His brother, Wikel, lives with him.

Personality: Hassi is bold and decisive. He does not speak much without a meaning, and hates idle chatter. He is most comfortable in the water, in which he represents much of what any Aquirius Clan warrior aspires to be, a calm and quick striker unable to be distracted or stopped. However, Hassi also bares a more sensitive side, which is often hidden in the hours he spends ashore. What he does not need to express verbally is often given in the course of actions, perhaps an embrace or a knowing nod. He does occasionally have the tendency to bottle up his feelings however, to feel denial and frustration. This can lead to him ignoring problems in his life, especially those that involve the traumas of his past.
Hassi still wears a traditional Iguanian battle-garb, even though he is not a part of the Aquarius Clan any more. He prefers the spear to any conventional weapon of the modern era, which fits well with his chosen profession as a fisher. He does not eat any of the fish, but sells them for money, particularly to an unusual monster-frog known as Grendel. He does not mind the silly frog, nor his equally unusual friends. Hassi opens his home to them, for he enjoys company. When they gather, Hassi usually enjoys tea, board games and swimming.

History:
Hassi was born to a nest of many, with plenty of brothers and sisters- 4 siblings to be exact. They were designated to be a nest of aspiring warriors. As time went on however, the tolls of the land took all but one of his siblings. His 2 sisters were devoured by a leviathan in their sea-based training, and one of his brothers, the eldest of the bunch, fell ill. Hassi was forced to carry his brother to one of the human towns, Cliffside, but they were unable to save him. Hassi was enraged, but he knew this was how it had to be, for only the strongest could become warriors. After his older brother's death, Hassi became very protective over his last sibling, Wikel. At this point, however, their final trial to become a warrior for the clan was coming up, however, and they had to be seperated to prevent each other from aiding in their trial. Hassi was reluctant to do this, but obliged.
The trial was simple. Retrieve some of the sapphire-blue algae from the deepest depths of the coastline near the Aquarius Clan. Hassi grit his teeth, and dove as far as he could, despite the waters growing colder as he dover further and further. He had to press on, to achieve what his siblings died for. To be a true warrior. Lashing his tail side to side, Hassi fended off saw-toothed beasts that stalked the deeps and grabbed a thick handful of the algae. Breaching the surface and clambering onto the rocky surface, he awaited his brother's arrival.
Minutes passed. Nothing. As the hour since the beginning of the trial grew near, Hassi felt fear creep within him, the same fear that gripped him when his eldest brother was ill before. But he did not do anything, because that was the way their tradition worked. Do not aid. Only the strongest coul- Before Hassi knew what he was doing, he had dived down to save his brother. He found Wikel struggling against the tide, his tail broken upon the rocks. Hassi grabbed him and dragged his wounded brother to shore. The tribe commended him for bravery, and decided to make him a warrior despite the code. Wikel, meanwhile, had to have his tail docked to allow for regrowth of the mangled limb.
Hassi gazed upon his tribe, and knew they were proud for him, offering him a firearm, a crest of the clan, and a traditional spear to mark his transition to adulthood and warriordom. But in seeing what happened to his siblings, and feeling an intense pain, Hassi knew he could not stay here. His scales were hard, but he knew his heart was too soft to watch another of his kind die, whether in be in training or in defending the clan against the monsters that swam in their seas. He laid down the crest, and took Wikel with him, leaving the Aquarius Clan. Some decried him as selfish, for being unwilling to protect his clan, but at that point, Hassi did not care. He left, and spent many years searching before ending up at Cliffside. He settled down, and found peace in a simple routine of fishing, sleeping and swimming. He met Grendel, a monster-frog, whilst selling fish one day. Despite being initially off-put by the frog's weird mannerisms, they quickly became friends, Grendel being a frequent house-guest of Hassi.

Other: One of Hassi's greatest enemies is a mysterious naga who prowls the deeps. He remembers getting a glimpse of it when his sisters were devoured, and that image has stuck in his head ever since. Sometimes, when he fishes, he sees that same shape, and worries gravely for his clan, but has so far refused to act...

Fun fact- Hassi is a subspecies of Marine Iguana.
