why is blue named blue if he isn't even really blue?
like I know blue is based of a butterfly with blue in its name but how blue is that blue butterfly? like is it that purple?

And yeah that's kind of a pet peeve of mine too. I'll always picture Swordtail with swordtail colors or at least wings. Maybe if I draw them in full body sometime I'll give them wings based on their name.
