Her name is Anna Goode and she's a sociopath.
She witnessed the death of her father when she was little. Her mother and father, Fiona and Leon, were having a heated argument and Fiona used a letter opener to slice Leon's throat, but Anna wasn't supposed to see that. It was supposed to be an accident and after talking to her mother, she couldn't say anything about the murder.

When she was 8 years old, she cold-bloodedly killed three of her classmates, the ones that would bully her every day. For those crimes, Anna was sentenced to reform school, but then she was released early. Not long afterward she mutilated and killed her therapist and began a 10-year-sentence at a psychiatric hospital, where a psychiatrist said that she was manipulative and dangerous. After she finished her sentence, a judge ruled that she be allowed to live in the community.

Now Anna is almost 19 years old and is back to living with her mother and her stepfather, Robert, who married Fiona only for her money. She could tell that he was still having affairs with the younger maids.
