Description This is a colored deviation i did from a lineart sketch from
The guy has some excellent stuff. So give him all the props.

Totally done without permission. I kind of feel bad about that.
But i put a lot of effort into coloring it before i realised that.

...only with the dark and moody characters?

I know what you mean though. I don't know. It seems that whenever i start to color something, this is just how it ends up more often then not.

I beg your pardon? I assume you mean that you are beggining to color the the same piece and ask me what is up with my style? If that is it, then I don't know, it is just cell shading, it's always been the way i color.

How do you mean? To be honest, i just googled "New York Skyline" and picked one that was large enough.

well look at raph the style of animation is well...very animated. He is dropped onto a realistic background. Too much contrast too fast. Maybe if you could PS the photo to look more animated and THEN drop him onto it?
