I wanted to try something completely different. A Lovecraftian take on War & it's Machines.
These are living planes that would give even the Decepticons a run for their money.
The story is, they are malevolent spirits that are capable of possessing machinery. They create pocket dimensions within whatever technology they choose. They are particularly keen on airplanes. Reasons are because they can hold hundreds of people within, are capable of great speeds & they can fly high into the sky. All these things are important because all those things combined create the most terrifying environments for any human, which is what they thrive on.
Once the passengers board the plane, settle in & the pilot takes off high into the sky, that is where the spirit attacks. Like all things Lovecraftian, the Malevolent spirits produce apparitions, thought suggestions. Violence & fear breaks out in the craft. Every life perishes & the blood & all matter are absorbed into the plane leaving not a single cell of the passengers behind. Everything is absorbed including the memories & knowledge of their victims. With that knowledge they are able to communicate with the landing towers to secure the landing zone as they are speaking as the spirits of the pilots.
But upon inspection when the plane lands & the crew is met with an empty immaculate plane, shock. The crew is instructed to bring the black box to have the contents examined by the security. But they are never given answers because the moment the passengers step on board, they cross a pocket dimension & nothing is ever recorded in the black boxes.
The sad reality is that they know that thousands of people go missing yearly, but humans are in need of flight to travel for all sorts of reasons & they can never shut down the airlines. They will always have their meals.
