So when Chaos Sonic fused(?) with some of Dark Gaia’s energy it mutated his physical body as well as his chaos energy, so his energy marking go all cool and swirly and now he looks like a dog lol

The chaos energy + dark Gaia energy in him makes him a lot more durable and able to withstand powerful attacks from things he usually would get more injured by. It also makes him more physically strong and durable, even more so than his canon werehog form.

His chaos energy levels don’t spike nearly as much as they used to, he uses a lot more energy than he used to due to having to keep his werehog form up every night as well as ACTUALLY STAYING UP every night, so he’s exhausted due to sleep deprivation and almost constantly having to battle shit (werehog battle theme starts 2 play)

No Shadow hasn’t seen him in this form lol, Sonic was globe-trotting a hell of a lot at the time (duh) while Shad was busy with other things. He saw werehog reports on the news and Sonic crossed his mind for a second but he just rolled his eyes and went “yeahhh it’s probably him but I can’t be bothered to find and ask him.”
