Description This took me quite a few months to make.
Yes, I made it on Microsoft Paint.
Yes, without a tablet or a mouse.
It's a monochromatic blue painting of an image that sort of just popped into my head about two years ago, before I had access to a computer. I made one using real acrylic paint, but I was not allowed to use it in the manner that I wished, and I soon became separated from the picture.
After getting used to pinky-tracing over the fingerpad on MS Paint, however, I have found that I rather like doing art on the computer -- far cleaner, no mess or waste, and the detail that can be done! ^_^

Very, very impressive, accomplished work. You obviously take great pride in your work, and I can see that you have a certain "penmanship" when looking at your choice of colors and independence from perspective. The lack of perspective is a problem for many who tries to paint still life.
When making "physical" art, do you prefer to use acrylic paint? Or have you tried working with oils as well? This work would be awesome in oil paint. It's messy, though, and stinky.

I actually made it in acrylic paint once, when I was living with my (*cough* EVIL) foster/adoptive parent, she kept on nagging me and pestering me on how it should look and made me redo the rose because she thought it was too blue (and I can make some incredible looking pop-out-of-the-page roses in acrylic paint too) and wouldn't let me use my fingers on it (sometimes that's the only way to get it to look just right!) and then before I was quite finished with it it was packed in the moving truck (I told them NOT to pack it!) and I never saw it again (I was, ahem, THROWN OUT of the household before we got anything out of storage...)
I've used oils before too, only in my art class in high school though. For acrylics I like to use Folk Art or Apple Barrel, I've had a fancier art set but the acrylics dry out and become absolutely insoluble, like oils, only they dry out faster.

YES! A good MS Paint artist.

I use it, but I'm awful at it (I'm using a mouse).

This was obviously not made with the oldschool Microsoft paint since I heard there is a more recent ms paint with more brushes. The old ms paint is nothing but pixels, and zooming into this I can tell it is obviously not the ms paint that comes with every single PC

This is the MS Paint included with a Windows 7 laptop, I once used Paint on an older computer and it indeed only had the pixel brush in a few basic sizes, the one on my laptop includes all kinds of brushes such as oil brush, watercolor brush, airbrush, etc. but I swear I only used the basic paint brush for this.

Hm...that makes sense then. It's just when ppl say ms paint I think of the original ms paint that all the kids loved to play with in the early 90s when it first came out. (I'm pretty sure that's when it did). I had never heard if a newer ms paint till a month ago. But I use the oldskool.
The art is still wonderful.

Thank you. :3 You can probably make something like this on the earlier version of MS Paint as well (the kind that I saw on that old computer, anyway) if you pay lots of attention to detail, gradient and such, and have lots of patience. Oh, and I reduced the noise (made it a little blurry to make the shades blend together better) on Windows Live Photo Gallery, if that isn't cheating.

I don't think so you can make art however you like! And I'm an oldskool ms paint artist I use it every day and I'm tellin ya there is no way you could make that picture in ms paint...well you COULD but it would be pixeley and not as realistic looking as yours. I just think that if I owned te group I wouldn't allow any art besides the oldskool ms paint in...but that's just me. They don't monitor the group too well since ive seen art obviously made on GIMP go in there :/

There is little that is truly perpendicular in this piece... It draws the eye in an interesting direction, up, curve down, then left, as though in a convection cell. Bravo! Plus.... MS Paint, no tools commonly exalted by the community. MAD SKILLS.
