Description
Straight from the camera, woo! My newest Ball Python, a Spider morph, 7 month old male.I got him at the Reptile Expo in Montreal today for a crazy insane good price since he was born last year in August, and the breeders just wanted him off their hands since they had no need for him. Yay, two ball pythons for me!

Ball pythons come in different "morphs", which is to say their patterns, and this is a spider morph ball python.

I wonder why they call it that, it doesn't look much like a spider to me . . .

The pattern was thought to resemble spider web.

What a beautiful shot. And a beautiful snake! Though my favorite morphs are piebalds.. they're like little.. cow.. tubes.. so bizarre.

Well hello there Mr. Python!
I'm quite fond of the texture and lighting of this photo(and couldn't resist the subject matter).

D'awww, snakey
For some reason he looks like he has this 'wtf I didn't do it' expression xD

cosmicspider In reply to Dr-Paine [2010-03-26 18:25:06 +0000 UTC]
It's probably more of a "wtf who are you what's going on put me back in the box" expression XD

Isn't he? I had him out last night, and it was funny because one minute he would happily be exploring my shoulders and the computer desk, and the next minute he was curled up like a snail in apparent horror, at what, I had no clue XD

Yeah, these are a more common morph though... a lot of snakes were going in the thousands at the expo.

OMG you got a spider! He looks really handsome. It's kind of sad tho that some of these morphs that everyone wanted a few yrs ago are now going the way of the normal ball python. Especially if it's a male. Breeders just don't want them any more. I am glad tho that he found a new good home.
