On episode 59 of Sonic X, Vector tells Espio that he made a promise to Vanilla, from the bottom of his heart
In the final episode's deleted scenes, Vector and Vanilla have a walk alone through the forest together after the picnic

I always thought of Vector as bi. That's how I wrote him in my slash, anyway. I attribute them not being together in the games to SEGA being lazy with how they handle their characters

Well I think you did a really great job on this. All the line art and coloring is real smooth and you did well on the characters as well. I think you did very well on both designs of Vector, I wish I could draw him but I can't (Not for the lack of trying mind you). Awesome job, keep up the great work!

Aww thanks ^^ I tried my best, though it didn't come out quite the way I wanted. I originally planned to have Isolated Island Zone as the background, faded out like White Space in Generations, but I had no clue how to draw it in 3D, not to mention I suck at backgrounds, so yeah

D8 Oh yeah, backgrounds are my weakest link when it comes to drawing, I normally have either a transparent, soild colored, or white background.

Yeah I'm notorious for lazy backgrounds too, made worse because I don't have a tablet yet so any attempt at painting is useless ._.
Isolated Island looked really cool but it's so 2D-looking that I couldn't think of what to do with it. Even the grass looks like 2D rectangles, and plus I couldn't tell whether the ground was covered in grass or if it had a path. And it's really geometric, which doesn't lend well to 3D. (Even though I'm still technically making something 2D, you know).
Briefly looking through your gallery, I can see you have a cute style that fits well with Sonic, so I'm sure you could pull Vector off with enough practise. Vex's body shape is kinda weird, and the chains and headphones are always a struggle. And characters with no necks are quite difficult sometimes as well DX I still can't consistently draw any of the characters other than Vector.

8D Awesome! They are tons of fun if you haven't had one before that is. Reguardless still fun.
Yeah I heard about that, a shame. They never really used him as a character to his full extent, he was more of a character to just laugh at or make fun of which is just kinda sad. I think SEGA could have done better by him, at least the Comics are.

If only they hadn't given him horrid gameplay in SA he wouldn't be so hated. He was actually an interesting side character who would have made a good npc. He's not dumb, just slow. But meh... I'm just glad we still have the Chaotix

Thats true, though I am first to admit that sometimes fishing for Froggy made me want to chuck my Dreamcast controler through the TV. XD He was a pain in some levels! And true we do still have them, though my favorite Chaotix membmer (Mighty~ I luffles him!) is no longer in the games, other than the sad cameo appearances on Lost posters in Generations with Ray. XP

Yeah. I played it on Steam but the fishing levels just made me rage. Especially the fact that if something gets off the hook, you just... die. Arrrrrgh.
Mighty was pretty cool, though they probably won't bring him back since they never established him as anything but a Sonic clone... though I would like to see him again, with his personality fleshed out (hence why he's in my fanfic which will eventually be a comic, lol). Though before they bring him back I wanna see Fang again D:
