I'm overdue for a new badass Nightmare Moon piece...So here she is bust'n out of the moon, ready to dish out some eternal night.
Had this laying around in a folder unfinished... I think I started it in the summer. Having some insomnia... so I decided to finish it off.
Two hours or so (to finish it).
CS3.
Yes, I will make wallpapers... but not right now.
And the reason it's extra wide, is because when I started it I had a dual monitor setup... So when I do make wallpapers, expect to see at least one for a dual display.
If you crop or resize it to use as your own personal wallpaper... please refrain from posting your modified versions elsewhere... or if you do it anyways, at the very least, cite your source (here). Or make a new "crappyunicorn.deviantart" stamp.

I really love this artwork! That being said however, I have an odd question:
If Luna broke out of the moon during a solar eclipse in the show, why does this show her breaking out during a lunar eclipse?

I don't believe it was ever specifically stated that there was a solar eclipse... only that, "the stars will aid in her escape". It is a popular fanon idea though, that there was a solar eclipse.
