A project I was asked to do in school. We were told to take a film and make either a poster or splash site for it, but the poster/splash site had to be in a historical style like Art Deco, Classical, Pop art, Art Nouveau and so on. I chose Howl's Moving Castle in Art Nouveau style.Castle took at least two hours to do. Pain in the ass XD
Yes, Sophie's... naked. Had no reason for that, just didn't want to draw her clothes XD
Took three days with few breaks in between

That thing took HOURS
I wouldn't look at my tablet any more, and the pen was malfunctioning then too. But yeah it came out good for all the trouble it gave me

OMG! I absolutely love and adore this!!! HMC is one of my all-time fav books and movies! You did a brilliant job. Love the flow of each to the other - from their hair, Calcifer's flames and the castle smoke to the flourishes. Sophie is beautiful and I actually love how you did made her naked. Very sensuous looking but still manages to retain her innocence as well. Oh I just {{{LOVE}}} it!

I'm glad you like it Wendy! I really love HMC, the book is great, but Miyazaki's rendition of it is by far my favorite, I sort of wish he would make the other two books into movies as well, they would be epic!
that castle... that castle took me... forever to draw and color, so complicated!! It ended up breaking my tablet pen by the end of the whole project XD. Oh well the sacrifices of art!

I did it that way to keep consistent with the flowiness that is Art Nouveau style. You see it in a good amount of pictures that work in that style.
