Description
The sun finally rose from it's slumber behind the water of the familiar beach that the entire town of Beach City was about. You rose from your plush bed in the little old cottage your family had bought along the coastline not but a week prior. You were unfamiliar to this quaint little town that your family had planned to live in for the rest of their days, and you were pretty okay with that actually! This place had everything. A donut shop? Check. A beach? Check. A weird giant temple of a pretty large woman? Chec-- wait, what? That’s right. This city has everything, and you mean everything. Apparently, according to some civilians who you like to spend your time with; there’s a temple where 3 ‘crystal gems’ reside along with a half-gem named Steven. You always shook your head at their fables of how the crystal gems or whatever they are called fight huge monsters and other gems who attack the Earth from another planet in space. You cracked up laughing, holding your stomach for exaggeration and wiped fake tears from your (e/c) orbs and swept your eyes up to the temple once more as your friends nervously laughed and looked away from you. You stood up, pressing your bare toes into the warm sand beneath you and turned your head to your friends, sticking out your pale pink tongue at them for a moment. "You guys are so crazy. All of that is complete fantasy! There's no such thing as monsters or magical women who fight said monsters." You scoffed out and one of your friends, who you'd rather leave unnamed shot their 2 cents in your direction. "Fine--believe what you want! You only just moved here! You'll see soon enough (y/n)!" You rolled your eyes and swiftly turned away, starting off down the beach. You ran your pale hand through your (h/c) locks and then slapped the side of your leg, pausing in your steps. You shot your eyes in the direction of the giant temple with the 6 armed statue. You let your eyes flutter down to the small house that resided on the giant statue. Did people actually live there? No, those women weren't real, and neither was a "half-gem" or whatever they tended to call it here. You gripped the base of a rock as you heard the creak of the swinging door opening from the beach house on the temple. Your eyes caught dead onto a purple-skinned female. She was a little chubby, pretty petite in height. She had to be only 4 or 5 feet. She wore a black tank top that revealed her arms, and purple pants a darker shade then her skin, black stars carved into where the knees should be. Her hair was light purple and spread into all directions, like it hadn't been brushed in a week, but it still looked so perfect atop her head. You felt your face turn warm as she caught your eye, her thick purple eyes catching your (e/c) ones. A smile pursed across her plump lips and she pointed at you. It was only now you stood straight up, knowing you were fully caught. She placed her hands cupped around her mouth and shouted in an unusually loud voice. "Hey--you! Whatcha doin' around here? Ya stalking us or something?" A few other voices muffled from inside the beach house, which seemed to divert her attention away from you. It was only now you caught the sight of an Amethyst gem upon her chest, shimmering in the sunlight reigning from above. You slunk to the outer edges of the rock and made your way towards her, and she glanced back at you, placing her thick hand onto her thigh. "Are you new here? We ain't never seen you around here before." You didn't respond as you stepped up the stairs, your focus completely locked on the gem embedded onto her skin just above her breasts. You made your ay to her and reached your hand out, touching the gem's smooth, polished surface. She quickly slapped your hand and raised her one eyebrow, her other eye being hid behead her hair. "Hey- hands off, bud!" She motioned to her gem dramatically and stuck her pale, purple tongue out at you. "All I did was ask if you were new here and you invade my personal privacy? Pfft." She glanced away, up into the air where there was nothing really interesting. Finally, you swallowed your fear and opened your mouth slightly. "Y-yeah. I'm new here, I just moved from (w/y/l) with my parent(s). She seemed to nod slowly at your explanation. "Welp, tall guy; I'll be seeing you around!" With that, she pulled herself into the house and left you in the dust. You pulled open the door when you heard a loud buzzing from inside the beach house. Spotting 2 other people, you pulled back, silent so that they wouldn't spot you. One of the ladies was slim and prissy in size. She had pale, peach hair that pointed upwards and curved in the front, had stunning blue eyes. She wore blue ballet shoes and orange socks that reached to just below her knees, and orange shorts. Her shirt was up to her neck and sleeveless, and ruffled at the button and a teal ribbon was tied around her waist, reaching to her ankle. The last one besides the purple head was tall, taller then them all and pretty bulky. She had a black afro that was shaped into a square, and glasses that covered her eyes. She had garnet red skin, and she seemed to wear a full-body suit, a red star going on the front and her pants split into 2 colors, hazy purple and maroon and had pink tips on her feet. Your breath, again, caught in your throat when the purple head caught you. Why was she so darn observant? You waved shyly at her. "Hey- there's that person I saw earlier!" You sighed loudly and stood from your crouched position. "Hello there. Sorry for intruding.. But..I'm a little new here. I just kinda ran into her earlier and she caught my attention so..I- I'm sorry." You hung your head, ashamed for the action of spying and eavesdropping. The afro-headed woman made her way over to you and patted your shoulder, feeling a lump on her hand. Catching a climpse of a garnet gem upon her left hand, she shook her head. "Don't apologize. Curiosity didn't hurt anyone." She spoke solemly and straight to the point and you admired that. The other woman, the slim one held her cheeks as she moved towards you. She didn't look happy. "How much did you hear?" She raised an eyebrow and you shook your head. "Nothing. I only heard a loud buzzing noise and I wanted to make sure purple head was still okay." You smiled sheepishly and shrugged your shoulders and a voice came from the kitchen behind the 2 facing you. "My namshes not pipple head!" You raised your eyebrow and called back. "What?" After a moment, you heard swallowing and then a reply. "I said, my name's not purple head. It's Amethyst." She pushed her way through the other 2 and held out her hand and you gratefully took it, lifting to your feet. She shook your hand as you spoke. "Well, nice to meet you then, Amethyst. I'm (y/n)." "(y/n), cool name, I guess." The other gem rolled her eyes and started away towards a giant uphinged circle in the back of the room. "Amethyst, you think everything is cool." "Well, duhhh! That's why I'm--" Before your very eyes, her head shimmered in a bath of white and was a purple shaped alligator. You screamed loudly, stumbling backwards into the wall. "The coolest croc in t-" She darted her eyes to you and spoke. "What's up with you? Chill out, man." You panted loudly and pointed to her as her head returned to normal. "YourHeadWasAnAlligator-" You choked out, your words running into each other. "Uhhhhhh, yeah. All gems can do that." "Turn your heads into alligators!?" "No, stupid. Shape-shift!" Okay, now this was getting ridiculous. "Come on, Amethyst. Peridot is out there somewhere and we need to find her." "Hold up, Pearl. Hold on. I think I might stay here with this (guy/girl) and watch movies or something. Just take Steven." You didn't protest, mostly because you were out of words, but also because you felt kinda honored to be accompanied by this 'gem' lady. It was different, that's for sure. With a heavy scoff from 'Pearl' she exited the room in a beam of light from the warp pad along with the bulky gem who you could assume was named after a gemstone too. She collapsed her body onto the couch in the living area of the house and looked up at you. "C'mere doofus." She motioned for you to sit near her and you did. "You are pretty weird, you know that?" You glanced at her and sighed happily as she flicked on your favorite channel. "Yea, I get that a lot." She replied dazily. You shook your head and leaned back, your eyes drifting shut on the comfy fabric of the sofa..Suddenly, you were jolted awake by a warmth on your skin and your eyes shot open and your lips were pressed against the mystical ladies lips. She pulled away and grinned tightly. "Awake yet? Jeez. You slept for like..5 hours! I couldn't get you up, so I tried that." She fell back into her position on the sofa, leaving you completely dumbfounded. Had she had any idea what she had just done? You moved yourslf off the sofa and noticed the sun was beginning to set outside the window and your (mother/father/both) would wonder what you were up to our this late. "I gotta get going.." You scurried to the door and pressed your hand against the screen when you heard her call after you. "Come back and visit soon, doofus." She cracked a grin at you. "Yeah, won't forget it." You stepped out of the door and hit the wall on your back, your face a new shade of red. Your heart beat in your chest as you made your way down the steps and on your way back home. Glancing back at the beach house, you noticed her in the window, pressing her face against the glass and making a kissy face. You smiled and did it back, waving and speeding off down the beach. What a Sunday. You couldn't wait to tell everyone else that you had A) Met the gem ladies. B) You also need to apologize to them. and C) That you got a kiss from one. Your heart beat faster and you ran faster towards your house. First though, you had to tell your parent(s).
