Lol it is almost a strange contrast. Neptunia characters are really bright and colorful whereas many characters in this game along with it's style are not as colorful and 'poppy'.Ā

Just kidding! In all seriousness though it's a lot of observing and practicing with the style, one of the most important things besides simply drawing it is the little details used like the shading effect, and even the color tones.

What will really help with proportions is to try to find someone who has the same face/body as what you're going for, and try to follow their proportions as best as you can. Place your work over top the originals any time you need to compare sizes.
