Description
Why does blood means, for most of people, DEATH? Blood is what makes us live....Blood is the essence of life, after all....I dont really feel like explaining this piece, just expect me to draw ''it'' more often...

Thought provoking! I find this piece very interesting because it can be interpreted in so many different ways. At first it seems so simple, but from whatever angle you look at it, you can see a figure. Very good work.

*is jealous that your blood did not turn brown*
I had to stop making my pictures have blood in them because it turned brown, looked nothing like harmless red ink, and I got the "psychologist raised brow of concern" out of some people... and the "idiot's raised brow of 'Is that poo?'"
No, I know prettymuch what you mean. This thing look remotely like whatever is living in my house, more specifically in the hallway. Eh, pain in the butt, most of the time, but one learns to live with them.

dont worry, mine turned brown/greeny too. ><;; a good trick, like i said in a note you sent me (was it you? it was. im sure.) food coloring is one very great solution
hahaha, i remember those comments... dont worry about them, just have fun as long as it doesnt turn really bad in your life and as long as youre not thinking about suicide. just be prudent, i wont tell you not to do that because i know everyone may do what they want to do, and i personally think real blood makes the piece more personally powerful (for yourself, i mean... youre not really suppsoed to tell em its real blood after all, do you?)

duuuh, because blood is spilled senslessly for anyone who wants to die. as some idiots slice open their wrists.

awesome work, i dig your compositions as the shapes, it's magnificent how you get such an effect without having used ink. nifty ability to imitate such an effect with acrylics.

Blood often means death to people because of the fact that it is inside out bodies and when it is comming out of our bodies it often comes out in pain. Pain and blood usually are associated death.
That is accually really hard to answer though, its all up in my head but I can't reach it...can't get it out.
I just have one question for you.
...Dosn't blood turn like brown-ish when it dries? How do you keep it red.

People associate blood with death because it reminds them of their own mortality... something that most people are really scared of, they refuse to admit that there will be an end to their lives. Blood is life, and people don't seem to understand how intricately interwoven life and death are... if they were to come to terms with death, instead of rejecting it, they would be able to embrace life for all it is, and not disregard it or take it for granted, like hundreds of millions of people do today.
I love the way this creature came out... the ridges on her back, her head hung low, the way her silhouette isn't simply her shape, but also extends to her, what seems to me to be, remorse and pain, signified by the streams, trails and splotches of black. Fuckin amazing work, I like it a lot...

I see a person in the ink.
The top left looks like the off brown of real blood. Cool effect.

I thought it was paint. It's just that the upper looks like semi-dried blood and the other stuff looks more watery/still wet.

Despite whether it's real or not, I've gotten the same effects with the right acrylic paints + canvas. And even my beloved red ink pen that gets black like blood...
So who knows *shrugs*

Well this also goes with me occasionally used hangnail or shaving-razor cuts (accidental) on images just for fun.
You never know if they're self inflicted on purpose
I've never been supportive of this form of self mutilation, however.
