Well in art, a baku is usually shown surrounded by like flames and clouds and stuff so I wanted to do something similar so its sort of like a nebulous psychic mist, I suppose. c:

an hypnotizing mist, that is different from Musharna's dream mist in which i imagine it would be more surreal once the Gen 5 redesigns begin.
also i love the detail on Hypno's pendulum, it has the "swirl" of hypno's eyes, and it makes me think that Hypno is holding a psychic third eye.

I getch'yah though, they're kinda creepy. I was never entirely sure what Hypno was supposed to be based on physically (They kind of look like monkeys, I guess?) so I decided to keep it more similar to Drowzee by upping their Japanese mythology influences. Happy you like'em! n.n

Well I thought since they're inspired by baku from Japanese mythology, I decided to just up the baku connection, while the original design for Hypno kind of drops it.
