Description

A quick study painting of a photo from the Apollo 17 mission, I may or may not have added lots of extra stars that aren’t visible in the original ✧

What a good study, light is very different in space.

Thank you! I'd say the most noticeable difference for me is the lack of reflected light on objects - the light can't reflect if there's nothing in the void for it to bounce off

Totally correct! Would be quite cool to visit space to do some virtual plein (space?) painitngs. Wonder if there is much to see really. Maybe one day in the future i can go on a trip around earth.

Whoa o.O

Think I may have seen the reference, but never thought much about how it was shot. That Holbein-like, utterly deformed reflection must be the LM.

Hard to believe it has been fifty years since the first lunar landing already; even harder to believe soon it will be fifty years since the latest.

Thanks, it is the lighting in the original caught my eye so much I had to draw it
