Wow, this piece really moves me. Its just throw out so much emotion at me that when I looked at it the first time I had to blink immensly fast to get that image to sink in.

I love making wings though mine is pretty much everywhere, is there any chance you could explain how you did it? my first thought was that he was wearing sweat pants, and that he must be catching his breath after a real hard work out. but then again i've been told i'm not right. (hey, i'm sure angels like to stay in shape too)
seriously, this is beautiful. i love the lighting, the detail (eg the elastic on his pants, viens, ect), the use of negitive space and the overall concept. great work!

trully amazing. reminds me of the movie Constantine. the character in your deviation looks exactly like the title you chose: like an angel fallen into desgrace, eather forgotten by God or loosing faith himself.

Lots of dramatic expression from the angel and incredible use of textures and lighting. However the canvas would be better horizontal, IMO.
Anyway, brilliant piece.

Great feeling to this one - the figure really puts forward a sense of defeat. The light streaming in seems to counterpoint his defeat.
I think the space at the top works well - it emphasizes his, uh... lowness...
I wish the feathers in front of his left knee didn't have that shadow behind them - it seems they should be more translucent... but dang if I can think of how you would do that without hand painting each feather!
I think the composition works very well, and the background is perfect for this piece.
I like it a lot!
