I had the idea for this comic the night before an O-chem exam. Guess that goes to show you where my priorities lie.So I've noticed that the show's been kind of nice about giving Rainbow Dash things over time -- way back in Season 2, ~RizCifra drew this up after we realized how not alone Dash was anymore with Tank. Then "Sleepless in Ponyville" aired, and take that, Faust -- Dash's gonna try and be a responsible big sister. That said, we STILL haven't seen any mention of pegasus families for either Rainbow, Fluttershy, or Scootaloo (and I'm pretending the middle satisfies herself with bears or something for the sake of a joke), and the episode slots to explore those things are running out.
I can't say I WANT the show to go into their histories, though. Making up stuff like this is, in an attempt to get me labeled something derogatory, fun. I personally believe Rainbow Dash comes from a very happy family who she can count on when times get tough, but I just had to draw this first.

actually in the episode "Games Ponies Play", during RD's flashback, there is a purple stallion with rainbow hair... Rainbow's dad. No mention of any mother though. So if there is a season 4, i guess a few things.
1. The CMC get cutie marks
2. We meet Scootaloo's family/at least see a house or caretaker
3. See what happened to Pinkie's sisters.
4. What happened to Applejack and Applebloom's mom and/or dad
5. The Manehattan branch of the CMC
6.MORE LUNA,TROLLESTIA,AND PINKIE PIE 4th WALL BREAKING
7.Will we see anymore of the students of Canterlot High?
8.MOAR DERPY, and more of her in the show speaking... #savederpy

Nopie, Lauren never said such a thing.
Rainbow Dash is simply pretty much THE Firefly of G4, Lauren herself said that she designed Rainbow and placed Firefly's soul into her.
The only family of hers that has been shown is her dad, and he hasn't been shown except for a flashback into Rainbow's fillyhood, as for Scootaloo, she is not her blood related sister, they just proclaimed themselves as sisters.

Actually, she DID say that she had considered having a pony resemble Firefly appear as Rainbow Dash's mother as a bit of a joke, in the same way Twilight Velvet resembles G1 Twilight, but that never actually happened.
