This is pretty cool, the surreal imagery definitely gives the sense of a memory conveyed through a personal mythos.

Thank you. It came about pretty easily because it was built from memories.

Has a sort of eerie vibe to it, almost sinister. I mean, one doesn't simply see fish on fire everyday. Surreal indeed, I like it.

thanks, I agree to a point. In my head it is more poignant, something that happened because I wasn't mature and later deeply regretted. This is a blend of old resurfaced memories and part-remembered dreams. There really was a burning fish (an ignored beachside campfire) and a redhead from my memories. Her heart was broken (by me, sadly, I was stupid) and mine felt empty. Life seemed very bleak for months after, like a factory wall, and I often had memory dreams filled with regret. The ants were contemporary, walking up my office wall as I was making the image, so i decided to see if I could make them in photoshop.

I see, so this is a sort of tribute to your past then? Well done.

thanks Kinga. I really like it when images just grow out of my head unplanned.

Yep, that's the best - when you realize even during the process that everything just falls in the right place at once
