Description
As promised, this is the single render of Cyborg Commando (improvised version). I'm planning to make two or three wallpaper with cyborg commando in it.Natural watermark on the floor and he's stepping on it. Don't try to remove it or steal it
-------
Cyborg Commando and Command & Conquer are originally copyright of Westwood Studios (now EA owns it, how sad...)

There's a new cyborg commando in C&C 4? Wow I'd like to see it.

Go ahead to the C&C site, the Nod commando is the only thing available. And sadly, you'll find that cyborg is pure ugly! What the artists drew is meant for the Red Alert universe! Their seriousness is dead, and there you have it, expect lots of sales fall. You'll see! I hope you don't buy the game.

I'll buy the ******* copy as well ONLY if I'm super bored with my existing games. But sadly, I won't get super bored when L4D2 & MW2 are already the great games to keep me occupied. Too bad, EA.
Even if I would to buy the ******* copy, that DVD has no value since it's, well, *******.

Wow, even NFS? I don't believe this.
Must have been the creativity, all the veteran employees from the 90s are now long gone, the new millennium ones are only bringing more problems. More of a disease rather than a cure.
So far, the 90s were the best, just like how when Westwood was around before it's dead. Sorry, Petroglyph don't count as their own company also don't produce great games either.

Pity if I had to skip the conclusion to the story but my money definitely are not going to their pockets. As usual, if there are any continuation of the series, I'll take a look at the trailers first, especially gameplay trailers, then I'll decide later.
The net speed is kind of slow right now, so I'll check the nod units some other time.

Okay I've seen them. Here's what my thought:
1. Cyborg commando: Shit.
2. Flame Tank: C&C 3 version were far more superior-looking.
3. MCV MK.7: C&C 3 version was the best-looking NOD MCV ever, maybe the best-looking MCV in all C&C universes.
4. NOD Salamander: At least they got this thing close.
5. GDI MCV Mk.7: I thought it was a mammoth? Well, actually not too bad, but it looks more military than a construction vehicle
6. GDI Sandstorm: The concept is good, but the 3d model is not as good as the concept.
7. GDI Orca: The concept seems alright but I don't really know what to say for the 3d model.
8. GDI Mastodon: Same as Orca, nice concept, poor execution.
9. GDI Hunter: The best unit so far overall in C&C4, good concept, but what the hell with the oversized barrel in 3d model? makes it a lot cartoony than the serious-looking realistic style.

Anyway, my thoughts are :
1. Cyborg Commando : I'm with you, SHIT!!
2. Flame Tank : It was ok though, far more acceptable than the boxy version as seen in much earlier screenshots
3. Crawlers : NO WAY! I want my old MCV & ConYard back!
4. Salamander : That's ok, it's alright.
5. Sandstorm : Concept art is always the best, if Westwood would to draw that, they'll surely pick the concept art version.
6. Orca : I think a little too much, C&C3's is much better suited.
7. Mastodon : Yes, poor execution, the TS one is much better.
8. Hunter : Comment same as Sandstorm
If you are at CNCNZ, there's a whole lot more on the crappy Nod units, take a look at their engineer & Avatar. They're as shitty as the Cyborg Commando.

Here, the Wild Arms 5 video gameplay on Youtube [link]
Look at the monster, it looked like a NOD Engineer in C&C 4. Very similar shape, different textures only. But this monster is already exist since the first Wild Arms, that means since Playstation one back then in 1997-1998 if I'm not mistaken.

Additional thoughts after looking at CNCNZ:
GDI Zone enforcer: Crap.
NOD Engineer: Plagiarism. A ripoff from Wild Arms (JRPG) monster called Hyulkonton or Creeping chaos.
Forgotten Ironback: Whose idiot choose the new design over the old one?
GDI Hammerhead: Nice concept, what about execution?
Forgotten Scrapbus: Looked like a toy, which is crap in tiberium universe.
NOD blast def. turret: same as hammerhead
NOD infantries, def infantry, flamethrower: same as hammerhead
GDI Condor: same as hammerhead
Shockwave: Ugly.

BB-K In reply to Councilor [2009-12-22 12:04:29 +0000 UTC]
The Nod engineer : Plagiarism or not, I don't find that serious, I call that a big blunder. This ISN'T Red Alert 3! What are the dev team trying to pull?! The C&C3's engineer is much better than this one.
And don't forget to check out their Avatar, it's much worse than you can possibly imagine, even the C&C3 ones are much more badass than their current ones which their cannons are all but Crayola crayons or PVC pipes.
Overall, I don't think the dev team is taking their franchise seriously, they only want money! So far, I hope you quit the franchise and tell your friends to do the same, because the franchise only gets worse even under new supervisions by Jon Van Caneghem (Which he'll take control of the franchise after C&C4 releases).
But there's a good news, Blizzard is the opposite version of EA, they focus on their fans & their Starcraft franchise seriously while money is on the low priority. But the problem is, Blizzard loves to make excuses, thus you see all the delays we got, from Christmas 2008 until the so called "official release" on mid-2010.

Oh, by the way, do keep continue to spread the message and tell your friends to tell their friends and so on, we don't want new customers to get their hands on the f**ked up franchise, I want to see the franchise nailed and RIP! Or in this case since there will be anti-Westwood & EA hardcore fanboys, we prefer to see C&C4 end up in very low sales & become the next "Worst Game of the Year" (Like in Gamespot, there are awards for worst games ever, not just best ones).
And yes, I'm very serious about this.

Yeah I know, but being a fanboy (any kind of fanboy) is something that contradicts with my idealism. I'm sorry I can't follow you in your path, but in C&C 4 I'll be agree with you, the sales should be low to show them we don't like they're messing up with our favorite game, and I should be at least giving warnings for the gamer to 'keep an eye out' for the design changes.
Because I'm considering (and always giving chance, but not hoping) if they want to repent, and revive the franchise that we all love, because if I'm become a fanboy now, when that time comes, I can't turn back or I'll be hurting myself mentally. I always like to keep some cards on my sleeve so whenever the need comes, I still have a move to make.

That's ok, it's your choice. I didn't tell you to join me to bring terror against EA, well, I'm doing my best to bash back against EA without trolling over the edge. Because since EA broke my heart with their non-Soldier's Head boxart & surely lack of CGI, I'll hurt them back. Imagine a guy broke up with his girlfriend, what will he do if that guy is a very dangerous bad guy? He'll murder his ex-girlfriend, not going to cry baby and commit suicide.

BB-K In reply to Councilor [2009-12-23 16:54:20 +0000 UTC]
C&C4 is totally hopeless, but I still have my doubts that the franchise will continue to go downhill even further despite under new supervisions by Jon Van Caneghem. As long as anyone is in EA handling the franchise, it'll continue to get f**ked up, IF it's under supervision by Adam Isgreen & Brett Sperry (Our C&C founders), the franchise will be saved, but sadly, they're not in EA, they're running their own business. Furthermore, I can't blame them when they left the franchise for dead, I bet they DO predict the franchise will get f**ked up by EA itself. Just like they'll say :
"It's not our franchise anymore, since it's your mess now, you'll clean it!"
Louis Castle will never save the franchise either, I thought he'll be saving it since C&C3 (Since he is also a Westwood staff member), but when I found his true colors, he only cares of the money and himself, in the end, he's not saving us, he's only tainting us!

Maybe that's what the developer's tactics after all. I believe idealism is good, it's money that tainted idealism, and thanks to the reasons like "you can't do that, it won't sell that way" or "it's too idealist, let's use what sells right now." or "This is what's being a trend right now, let's follow it and see how many profit we got." then idealism became some kind of bad guy.
There are proofs, I believe user mod games like Counter strike and DotA was born from idealism (although there were more factors joining in later), untainted by money (or profit), and see how great they were right now, even counter strike beats the name of Half Life and DotA beats the name of Warcraft 3.
People's mind are awesome, it's money that makes them not as awesome as it should be.

Agree on all facts. But sadly, money means everything to us now! But I'll still keep in touch with the spirit of idealism. Idealism is quality! Money only brings the quality downwards.
Oh lastly, Dota even made into the World Cyber Games. I think. And so is Counter Strike too, that's where CS : Source was born.

But only the well known titles like the upcoming Starcraft 2, Blizzard knows that they'll earn lots of money in return, so they don't care of the money and I'm sure you'll get to see tons of Special Edition goodies as well as CGI movies (Yes, SC1 does have CGI movies).
SC2 is not done yet, but C&C4, it's done, so far, normally EA wants to end this universe with a big bang, but instead, they end it with the smallest puff of wind. That one I forgot to tell you about it.

In this case, it's a huge shame that Blizzard taking SC2 too long. Actually I don't believe reviews too much, because sometimes people who write the review is hater for some genre / style. once I saw ad bad review for certain J-RPG game just because it used anime style graphics, thus making the review very subjective, and making matters worse, the reviewer that wrote the review actually an FPS gamer, and he didn't know anything about J-RPG.
Let's hope starcraft 2 has a decent reviewer.

Councilor In reply to BB-K [2009-12-23 16:41:13 +0000 UTC]
Everytime I played RTS, my pace slows down. I can do fast paced games like Unreal Tournament, but that's FPS. RTSes? no. My power goes more to brain than hand-eye coordination. For me, strategy games is more about thinking, not fast clicking, remembering shortcuts and micro management.
Sure, fast click, shortcuts, and micro manage is a factor to decide victory, but I hate it when those things become KEY to victory, in other words "If you don't master them, you won't win", then it'll be a game of skills, not strategy. That's why I don't like War/Starcraft, because they're more skill than strategy, your strategy won't work if you don't have the skill. Unlike Company of heroes, I never remembered the shortcuts, and micro manage is more possible because fewer units, but I manage to win the game even from the direst possible condition because of tactical deployment, timing, unit composition, terrain usage, etc.

I really missed that golden age of NFS, the best NFS so far for me is NFS 3: Hot Pursuit and NFS 4: High Stakes, after that, I only feel downhill.

True, they focus on earning money & attract younger fans instead of their veteran fans. But sadly, earning money will NOT work as if you don't please your veteran fans, any of them who left the franchise WILL be sure to stop newer customers from buying the game. Like me, I already stopped several of my friends from buying C&C4, no point for a pirated copy either. And much worse, I told them to spread the word about it.
The sales will begin to tumble already. Starcraft 2, we will be waiting for you!

EA will NEVER learn their lesson, they did alright, but they'll only learn it for a temporary of time, in the end, they'll continue to ruin everything later on. Fans requested yes, but then later on, they're rejected.
In this case, the sidebar, it was a yes last time, later on, they're all rejected.
So anyway, adios to the franchise for me. What about you? Don't put your hopes up, I want you look at the Nod unit models, they're totally bad even C&C3 ones are much better.
