LINK TO SOURTONGUE --> [link]I'm on Skype right now talking about J-horror with ~Zee390 and then I randomly went "Ghosts. Oh yeah. Who is that jerk in my unsubmitted folder that has been rotting there for a while? Uhhhh..... Oh yeah. That guy." and here I am sharing a proper Sourtongue expression sheet.
I'm trying as hard as I could to stretch my style (thanks to a certain Dreamworks film that came out a while ago) and I thought Sourtongue was the perfect experimental item to use for this considering he's a pretty explosive and.... face-ish guy.
This guy is such a cocky bastard of a ghost, I love 'im to spectral bloody bits.
I gave Sourtongue his other eye but made the pupil purple and a tad bigger (and up close, rather spiral-shaped) as a result of the accident that murdered him and sent him to Heaven's basement and Hell's attic (and Earth's sewer). He could tear that eye out and use it as a flashlight, a recorder, and it could become a projector and make him find certain folks, no matter where they are.

I was re-going through this gallery because I absolutely love ALL your stuff and thought this page was particularly amusing so I started making up lines for what he'd be saying in each of the expressions...for some reason, for the sad face, the first thing that popped into my head was "What? Well, that's a new detail I'm still trying to finalize. ^^ But as far as I know, his default eye color is emerald/gray though when he's angry then they go red, when he's sad then they go blue, when he's worried or fearful then they go violet, when he's scary then they go black, and they flash rainbow colors when he's over-excited or drunk. xD

Sourtongue has changed a lot, but in a good way! Although he wasn't a deliberate COPY of Beetlejuice in the first place, he seems more like your exclusive character now.
Anyways, this expression sheet is priceless. He has a mind of his own! (And I keep thinking of that one song...Bad to the Bone, hahaha! B-b-b-b-b-bad...)

Oh man, I'm so glad that you like this. XD I'm trying to get used to exaggerated expressions. Kind of realized the other day that one could nevah find true style unless they themselves accept it and so I'm trying to experiment with different characters as much as I could. ^^ I even stopped to using pencil first in order to draw anatomy. XD BUT its hard, sooo.... still practicing that. XD
And indeedleh, his eyes. Their original colors are lime-ish but they change color with his mood. In *narusasu321 s words, he is a "bitchy mood ring".
