Alriiiight, so I was re-reading the oldent ancient internet story Decembersville (to the misfortune of my eyes) and noticed one of the funniest bits of inconsistent writing in there.
When we first meet Merry-go-Round, he is raging, he is angry, he is eager for vengeance, but the next time we see him for realzies he is freakin' jolly-watering his bloody roses!
I thought that was soooo stupid yet soooo in-character that I had to make fun of it.
What a dweeb.

If there's one thing I've always loved about Merry it's his gardening (and the floral apron he wears). Merry, you're so adorable when you're not being a poor tormented soul. c':

Hahaha!! I think it makes more sense as we learn the significance behind the roses, and about Kerasell. But it is quite humorous when you present it this way!
Man, I remember one of my first drafts for a story that I wrote in elementary school...and for some stupid reason I thought it'd be a good idea if a dragon character communicated through smoke coming out of his nose to form letters and sentences. So yeah, there's definitely humor in old work.

Ha ha I agree whole-heartedly! Not sure if I have characters that are quite to the extreme that Merry is, but perhaps I do and do not quite realize it, I have so many. Either way it's always fun to create characters with a healthy dash of cartoon logic mixed into them.
