Description This is a veeeery quick sketch and photoshop job. It may be a Work In Progress. What I really want to do is draw a bunch of Star Fox characters. But yeah, just trying to put something in this account from time to time to make sure it doesn't die.
Star Fox rocks.

I like it. Very original interpretation of the character. Great job.

Thanks... BUT I don't know if it's super original. Was inspired by this guy's sketches, which I saw a few months back: [link] except I tried to make mine look more like the Super Smash Bros. Brawl version of Star Fox: [link] And kinda failed but whatever, lol.
But yeah, this isn't a very original piece, I don't think. My style for it was too generic, I think.

meh. I actually prefer yours. When it comes to star fox, either people stick entirely to the original style (which adds little variety) or they are so committed to pushing the envelope and reinterpreting the character they lose most of the relevance to the original.

I only typically fave art pieces I think I can learn from. I faved this because it had a nice balance of styles. While the style is different and stands apart from the original, it is reminiscent enough to be both recognizable and nostalgic. Which is honestly something I still need to work on myself. So even if you were trying for a different look, I'd definitely say this still has merit of its own.

Woah, thanks! I have very little self-confidence when it comes to my own artwork so getting a message like this is pretty encouraging/uplifting.

No problem. All good artists are hard on themselves its how they improve, all you have to do is dig out the old sketchbooks and see how far you've come since then. It sorta makes all the work worth the trouble.
