Description
Here's a recent commission for an anonymous commissioner. It's of his adorable OC, Lyon, who is an elf/snake hybrid. The background took forever, but I hope it looks delicious.Warning: Sometimes people are fat. No need to get huffy about it.

That is certainly a lot of background, but I can't help giggling at the scene because it reminds me of this: [link] I'm also amused at how despite his being in this land of giant desserts, his attention is entirely devoted to his plate of teeny treats. I don't know what those tiny multicolored muffins are, but they must be really good. And yes, the place does look tasty, and I want to live there. I'm sitting here not eating any giant cakes at all and it is an appalling tragedy.
Speaking more seriously about the background, I like the effect of the cotton candy "trees" in the horizon. Their color adds a lot to the atmosphere yet at the same time you could easily not even notice it's there, which is very fitting for cotton candy. There is a bit of an odd visual effect that I think is being created by the softness of the lines on the cupcake in the bottom right and the dessert poking into the bottom left. The candy canes and strawberries and such have sharper lines, which I think is making my brain feel they should be closer than the softer items in front, if that makes sense. Lyon himself looks good, and I like how his feet don't have the same "soft" feel as the rest of him, which is appropriate for scales.
I don't know how he stays so clean though, I'd be making frosting angels on that cake.

Thanks. On this piece, I tried to work a bit at differentiating textures without resorting to using too many different brushes. I used kind of a softer brush for the cotton candy in the background, but everything else was done with a default. I'm really happy with how the feet turned out, actually. I was hoping they'd look authentically scaly.
The linework turned out kind of shoddy and thicker than I would have liked, though. I think a piece like this might have benefited from more delicate linework.

as for the person of this artwork, well you still amaze me when you draw us fat folk 
what really stands out for me is the little details like the little pieces of pasties on and in between his man boobs! it really stand out and I love it!
