“Most demons are low beasts to occupy the hordes in numbers almost unending. The high minority are either beings so mighty that few dare defy. Then there are those which have remained active since ancient times recorded within the dark realm, in possession of powers beyond any low demon could possibly grasp. Sequence Mages would fall under the latter with certainty. They are an enigma amongst their own kind with seemingly paracuasal power. Even the great and terrible Lords of Hell grant a wide berth to these practitioners of temporal power.

These hallowed demons are capable of limited manipulation of literal time, briefly summoning past versions of themselves for assistance, and in rare cases, versions of their future self. The most skilled amongst this unholy cast is sometimes capable of evading destruction by returning to a version of themselves momemts before harm comes their way.

I lack the sufficient knowledge as to how these sorcerers manage such power. What I do know is that their temporal abilities only work within the confines of Hell, as the human world lacks the power to feed such staggering demons. I will continue to learn what I can on these primordial forces while you continue your journey towards the heart of their invasion point.”
