See my previous gallery pic 'PR Disaster!' This is Loughborough Shed on September 1, 2001, with Modified Hall No. 6990 'Witherslack Hall'. As you see, despite the locomotive being obscured by equipment (etc) on the sunny side, at least I managed to get something. I could still have done without the ladder but the only GCR volunteer in sight was working on a boiler and it didn't seem fair to interrupt him. I think words would have been said had I tried to move the ladder myself.No.6990 took part in the 1948 Locomotive Exchange Trials in the mixed traffic class for British Railways shortly after nationalisation.
