Description
Just a quick picture showing Aerie, from Baldur's Gate 2, in all the different phases of her life.Starting, on the left, as a bright and confident and carefree youngster, whose caring and selfless traits would often get her in trouble, and lead to her downfall.
She was captured and then broken by slave traders. She spent most of her teenage years (or avariel equivalent), in captivity, on display in the circus, until finally the poor conditions led to her wings being infected, and having to be removed.
The circus would have left her to die, but an old gnome named Quayle took her in. She still had to earn her keep, working behind the scenes in the circus doing various tasks and chores. In the meantime, she was learning magic and healing arts from Quayle and others, but growing more and more restless to leave the circus and put her skills to use, as well as find a new place for herself in the world.
Until the incident with Kalah. An adventuring party takes her with them, and from them she learns how to fight and survive on her own, realizes who she is and where she belongs, and becomes one of the most powerful spell slingers ever to walk.

Aerie'll find her way back home, eventually. In the meantime though, she'll have adventures and meet a lot of fun and interesting people.

I've never decided whether they're tattoos or paint. If it's paint I can remove it easily when it suits me.
