Personality: Nelly is very fearful and quite aggressive. It seems to be a defensive behavior due to her abusive past, but she will kick, charge, bite, strike, rear, and buck to get away from people and other horses. She can be extremely hard to catch if she doesn't know the person coming to get her, and you can't touch her with anything other than the halter. She has yet to be groomed or ridden, and is currently working on getting used to being haltered and lead around. Once she trusts someone, she seems like she wants to do what they ask but she is stopped by her fear of humans. There seems to be a mental block that keeps her from letting go of her past and trusting the people around her. She is very fast and sure-footed, moving quickly in big gaits and rarely missing a step when she runs away from everyone.
