Strengths: Since she has practiced with her brother often, her reflexes are fairly quick and is able to recover from dives with ease. Though she does not communicating all too much, she is still willing to work with others to reach a goal.
Weaknesses: As she has only played friendly games with her brother, she lacks the experience and the actual knowledge of volleyball strategies and formations. Also, all the times she played with her brother, she was too focused on receiving that she didn't focus on her serves a whole lot, so her aim is really off when it comes to serving. To make things worse, she isn't good at making desicions so you find her trying to bump a high ball or volley a low ball, and occasionally recieving the ball with many parts of her body, like her shoulder, or her thigh, etc.

-*Observant: Being unfocused, it makes her look around a lot, therefore observing a lot of things. Despite having this advantage, however, sometimes things don't click right away for her.

-*Shy: Stems from her quietness. She doesn't like attention either.

-*Bold: When she does want to say something, sometimes her words can be a little blunt, or can be taken that way easily.

Biography:

Jun was born and raised in fairly rich family, with a mother, a father and a younger sister. His parents had good jobs (his mother being a lawyer and his father being an engineer), and growing up in a straight forward manner of doing what was necessary to succeed in life, he didn't mind the endless routine of going to school, staying at home to study all the time and not questioning anything, but he was still pretty carefree anyway. Being raised in the same manner, his sister, Chia, didn't mind it either, but followed their parents teaching's a lot closer.

Despite of their differences, they still got along well, as they have led similar lives so they often see eye to eye. But when seeing how blank Chia was as a person, Jun decided to bring it upon himself to change that and help her open up to the world outside their cozy little (or large) home. However, it only helped her realize that she wasn't into becoming social. But this did not discourage Jun, as he believed that she would be able to make a friend and open up when she was older.

Days stretched onto weeks.

Weeks stretched onto months.

Months stretched onto years. About 2 or 3 years. Jun became 11, while Chia was 8.

During all that time however, he didn't spend it by just studying. No, every day he dragged his poor little sister to the backyard, playing anything with her to try to make her more active at least. He didn't know all the sports, but Jun did try his best to try and learn them on his own free time so that they could play together, with him playing offense and Chia playing defense. They played many sports. Basketball, soccer, ground hockey, and the list goes on. Despite always playing the same positions, they didn't mind. Until Jun came across volleyball, and decided to try it out. It was different, because both sides needed offense and defense (although some other sports have this too, but he found volleyball first), and so they played it. With that, they both enjoyed it a lot, but Chia still enjoyed playing the defensive role anyway. And, for the first time in a long time, Chia had played with more enthusiasm.

Soon, instead of Jun bringing Chia to the backyard, it was the other way around. They practiced every day. They served, passed, and received with each other. She found it really enjoyable. Now all he was waiting for was for Chia to make a friend.

However, unbeknownst to Jun, Chia had already made a move on her own a long time ago. One day came, during one of the first few days of summer when her second year of school ended (she's 6 years old), when she had gotten lost on her way back home from school as she was occupied with observing the little children playing together in the park that she walked by. It was a little too late when she realized, and it didn't help that she suddenly felt the need to go, and decided to stop by one of the houses to use their lavoratories. There, she started walking through the tiny neighborhood, observing quietly each of the houses as she decided to choose the house she would enter based on that. Spotting one house that stood out a little to her, she walked up the porch, and rang the doorbell, the door opening slightly to reveal another young girl about her age, though the other girl was a lot taller than she should have been. And with that, they shared a few words.

"Can I us-- uhh - use you - umm. Your uhh...bathroom?"

"I dont' know!! Mommy says I should hesitate on toiletting strangers in, but I don't know what hesitate means!!"

"Well, if you don't wan't your mom to wonder why there is piss on your porch, you should let me in, me sinks."

And thus, the friendship between Hashimoto Chia and Tanimoto Mami has started. They went to each other's houses from then on, from play dates to sleepovers. They became very close, to the point where they knew each other's secrets like the back of their hand. But despite knowing all this, they didn't find out that the other played volleyball until one of their last sleepovers before high school. They started to pass around for fun, both sharing quite the enthusiasm for their favorite sport, though it was a shame that they wouldn't be able to play together when summer vacation was over. But they weren't deterred, because they knew that if they both joined the volleyball teams of their school and played their best every match, they would encounter each other on the other side of the net, which was enough for both of them.

With that in mind, Chia stood before the entrance of Shigeruten Joshi Gakuen with confidence.
