Long overdue piece for Funny-Replay... who is no longer active on this website. I've come to terms with the awful person that I am. I wanted to give up on this piece many times during the drawing process; honestly, I should have dropped the project - art shouldn't have to burn in hell with the artist. And yet, it's done. I kept going because I just wanted to see something good turn up from a failed piece, even if it is never seen by the person it was intended for.The request was to draw the scene in the final episode of Hoshi no Kaabii where Kirby defeats Nightmare. Out of context, it looks like Nightmare is losing his mind over his necklace shattering. All-powerful space wizard loves his jewelry. ;^)

Look, this is just. So awesome. Not just the drawing looks super good and well shaded and detailed and colors are good and everything is so natural, but also, I really admire your determination to finish it no matter how much time has passed. Honestly this stubborness is kinda inspiring (: This is so awesome.

This looks absolutely fantastic! The shards of his necklace and the way his glasses are cracking apart looks amazing, and so does the reflection of the stars that are inside his cape. The way all the highlights and shadows melt into all the different colors is great, as well! So nice to see more work from you!

A lot of people deactivate after some time and move to a different site. They may have had a specific reason for deactivating, or it could be simply that they are moving on to new things or interests, etc.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad to hear that this piece is up to par with work before my long hiatus. I felt a little out of practice returning to this piece, I definitely took more time coloring than I would have needed before when I was still actively drawing.

I have a Tumblr, but I have not used it to post any art as of now. I haven't kept an eye on the Kirby fan community on that site so I didn't know that AngerMango had moved there until posting this piece.

Holy moles, this is brilliant! I am afraid to say I don't recall anymore making this request but the idea that it's finally been finished is what makes it even more special!
