By the way, all that black? Yeah. Totally murdered a pen in the process. I finally laid the poor thing to rest after finishing this. I was surprised it even lasted that long. 0____0
Definitely inspired by old comic styles. I don't really know what else to say other than the fact that yes, my scanner wasn't working well again and I ended up having to take a screenshot of the preview image again.
I figure that if simple line art, no shading, etc. can get more favs compared to my colored works, then I'm just wasting my time.

Black and white has it's own beauty, really, making everything look so vivid and sharp. It's better than colored images can be, in some cases. Not to say that color isn't great, but monochrome just looks... cooler in some cases - for example, most mangas.

Yeah, I do like black and white pictures, especially photography, but I'd rather save my markers if people like this kind better.

He's still got his shoes, socks, and gloves left, tho'! Some fangirls can run off with those. I pity the one that gets his socks, considering how much he runs and how quick he is...

I think at this point, Meta's gotten very good at squeezing out of fangirl death grips. He wouldn't have survived for this long if not.

You know the effect most mangas have - those dots that squeeze together to imply colors and shadows and whatnot? That's toning (I'm pretty sure it's called 'tone' - %90 sure, at least). I've seen some shops in 'International Districts' sell packets of tone - and there's always computer toning, too, which is simply overlaying a texture in the right places. The latter of the two is a bit cheaper, but isn't nearly as traditional and annoying.
I suppose even Nightmare's fury is nothing in comparison to the sheer might of a crowd of crazed fangirls.
