Description
Someone asked if these Chinese legend crossovers were going to be a fanfiction, but they’re not. I’m just drawing them for fun. At this point, I will probably be doing the rest of these digitally. I thought it’d be cool to use actual Chinese watercolors on rice paper, but it’s too expensive. The only authentic thing in this drawing is my stamp (I moved it from where it was in the line art) and the rice paper texture (which didn’t turn out very good after scanning it). ... meh, everything looks kind of shiny...

沙悟浄 is the third disciple in Journey to the West. He is a monk who was kicked out of heaven and forced to live in a river on Earth as punishment. He eats anyone who tries to cross the bridge (the skulls on his necklace are from a group of monks). The main heroes of Journey to the West arrive and defeat him, but 沙悟浄 is promised forgiveness from the gods if he helps them accompany their master from China to India.

Similarities to Meta Knight?
- Meta Knight is classified as the third main character in the Kirby series behind Kirby and King Dedede
- 沙悟浄 reincarnates into a river dwelling monster, Meta Knight in the anime is possibly the demonbeast experiment mentioned by Kabu, therefore a monster of sorts
