Description
This doe didn't much care about us tromping near her feeding grounds. Still, I didn't want to spook her... this was the best shot I managed.Related content

It's a very nice close up. How far were you exactly? Most deer tend to be skittish, at least they are where I live. Such an awesome picture!
We have had two fawns grazing on our backyard grass for the past few mornings now, probably about several weeks. They're too jumpy to even take a picture of though.

Sorry this is so late! I was pretty close, actually. She was right by the road, and we were still in the truck. I didn't get out of the truck, because I didn't want to spook her... I'd say, probably 20 feet away, max? I'm surprised she didn't run away, but she seemed rather indifferent to us for some reason.
Aww, fawns~! They sound adorable. I love stuff like that. In VA, we used to have a pregnant doe come around the house and eat our plants. At first, my dad was mad about it, and then he noticed she was pregnant. Afterward, he kinda turned into the melty goo anyone would. "Aww, dear~!" lol xD

It's ok, we all have lives away from this place.
Twenty feet huh? That's pretty good for a deer. Usually they run away from their own footsteps. That's a very nice shot for the distance.
The fawn haven't showed up in a while now. Although that's the best part about living near a big woods with no city around. It's so much more calmer and lively in it's own way.

Yeah, I was trying not to breathe too hard, haha! I ended up taking the shot through the window because I didn't want to get out, either. But she still seemed to be pretty "meh" about the whole thing. I wonder if she sees cars often, even way up in the mountains.
Aw, I hope you see the fawn again. I love living away from the city, it's got such awesome wildlife if you know where to look.

I wouldn't know myself, but I would think that the deers aren't exposed to many visitors up in the mountain sides.
Still it was great that she stayed still so you could capture it.
