To give you an idea of how far behind I am, I took these a month a go. But! I'm getting there.

This was from my second lightbox/softbox session. A lightbox is a light I made to, well, give interesting and intense light. I sort of set up a mini studio. Also, this was really when I started understanding my camera. You'll see a significant improvement in this particular set. I blame it on my professor. I <3 her.

Anywho, these are not your average sunflowers. They're prairie sunflowers, also known as sand sunflowers. Instead of following the sun, they actually follow the wind with the little bristles on their stem.

Aside from dandelions, I think these are my favorite flowers. They grow like weeds here.
